Inês (CEO of The House of Portugal) has worked across the continent of Africa over 12 years leading the market expansion of several North American and European companies. She formed impeccable contacts and high level networks that are invaluable in accelerating and closing opportunities from Johannesburg to Luanda, Harare, Lusaka, Windhoek to Maputo.


Prior to that she had 10 years of ICT and Business Development experience, successfully conducting some of the major infrastructure in water, energy, mining and transport projects in South Africa and Angola.

Inês, a Political Science and International Relations graduate - B.A (Law) - has advised and sat on various Diplomatic and Political Forums, in her capacity as Trade Commissioner Assistant or as Commercial Counselor and Political Adviser.


These include European Union Delegation, DFATD and Danish Trade Council GIT for Energy, Water and Environment, a member on Business Finland Energy Core Team, Mining Finland, Circular Economy and Health and Wellness Programs.


Her work was to folded in promoting exports to the twelve accredited countries in Southern Africa as well as to advise FDI's, R&D's and development of Innovation, Technology and attracting Investment to Finland during her tenure at Business Finland.


She is a subject matter expert in business structuring and match opportunities across the continent of Africa having lived in Luanda, Lisbon and Johannesburg. 

Inês is a language lover, being fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, French, English and able to comprehend Italian and Finnish.

The House of Portugal is a committed and highly involved  executive Board member of NSBA - Nordic Southern Africa Business Alliance in South Africa, where Inês, leads the marketing and export promotion activities.

The House of Portugal is a member of SATI - South African Translators Institute, and Inês is a Sworn Translator for Portuguese - English language pair by the South Gauteng High Court  and a Commissioner of Oaths.
