All our Filigrana is handmade in a traditional workshop in the North of Portugal, where the art has been passed throutht generations in the same family. Gold pieces are usually made by order.


This piece can be made on 925 Sterling Silver, on 9 karat Gold or 19 Karat Gold. All the products from our bespoke workshop in Ermesinde, Portugal are marked and sealed at Contrastaria do Porto, which is the Entitity that Regulates and Certificates the absolute quality and veracity of the materials used.

    We understand that you are anxious to receive your piece.

    Due to the current Pandemic and the fact that online sales having sky rocketed, it is possible that we can experience some delay on international deliveries, which our supplier in Portugal will not be able to control. 

    Once parcel is collected by courier (we will send you an email to confirm that the parcel has been shipped with copy of the airbill) the estimated time of arrivel at the customer' door are :

    National Courier (Portugal Mainland)

    •  up to 2 working days (Nacex or CTT) – 3,5€
    • shipping is free for order above 100€

    Madeira and Azores (CTT) 

    • 6 - 8 working days – 3,5€

    Within European Community  (CTT or DHL)

    • 5 - 10 working days (CTT) - 5€
    • 2 - 3 working days (DHL) -  55€
    • free shipping costs for orders above 150€ (via CTT)

    Outside European Community (CTT or DHL)

    • up to 20 working days (CTT) – 9,5€
    • up to 6 working days (DHL) - 55€
    • free shipping costs for orders above 500€ (via CTT)

    In the eventuallity that no one is at the delivery address to collect the parcel, the courier will contact you directly on the indicated mobile number. Please make sure that you leave us your correct number.

    Aditional Information

    Delivering to an incorrect physical address might cause the parcel to be returned causing aditional costs which will be debited to your account. Please make sure that you have all the correct details for your delivery address in order to prevent your parcel of being return. Your invoice will always accompany the airbill in all our shippings, and its issued immediatly upon payment of your order. 

    Custom Fees

    • European Union

    All orders made within the European Community memeber states are free of custom fees.

    • Outside European Union

    When shippements are issued to any country outside the European Union or for a member state with specific custom requierements, our supplier nor The House of Portugal has any control over these, as it is outside of our jurisdiction,. The customer should get hold of its country custom officials and request respective information. 

    The House of Portugal and our supplier do not accept any responsibility that may occur with such process, nevertheless we are available to assist on resolving any difficulty that may occur. 


    Have you just received your order and you are disappointed with it? talk to us.

    We are happy to return the money of any purchase considering that it follows with the following criteria:

    • That you return the product on its original package and in perfect condition (as it was sold), and together with the respective invoice ;
    • That you return the product within 7 days from receiving it.

    We will not be liable for any loss during shipping, we reccommend that you procure an insurance for this .

    Return Costs

    In case the productsare defective we will support the costs with the return . We will deduct this cost to the amount paid for the item. 

    Return Process

    The return process will commence only when the manufactur receives the products. Once it confirms that the products have arrived in good order, completed in original pacjake, with invoice and non violated, we will notify you via email and we will commence the return procedure asap. Please bear in mind that it can take up to 15 days to process your refund depending on the payment method you have selected for the purchase. Check out service providers have different terms and times and they are third parties to our operations.

In Portugal the assay office uses a range of different official marks for precious metals (gold, silver, platinum and palladium) to indicate their respective legal fineness, in view of the need to ensure consumer protection, promote fair competition between economic operators in the sector and tackle issues like falsification, which have existed almost since the dawn of time.
